Measures aimed at enhancing the energy efficiency were presented by Mikhail Rasstrigin, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, at the meeting of the Working Group on Energy of the National Council of the Russian Federation, held on February 7, 2020.
“In our opinion, the priority actions aimed at enhancing the energy efficiency must be concentrated in the most energy-consuming sectors of our economy, such as housing development, energy, and processing industries. The key driver for releasing the considerable accumulated potential of energy efficiency and reducing the GDP energy intensity is the technology factor, namely the development and implementation of advanced energy saving techniques,” Mikhail Rasstrigin said.
